Come learn more about what it takes to hike a day, week, or month on the Oregon Desert Trail and get some recommendations for an amazing milkshake, delicious pie, or other sweet treat.

What does a remote and challenging long-distance desert route have to do with dessert? After experiencing a cotton candy colored morning sunrise surrounded by wildflowers the color of jelly beans and the honeyed serenade of a meadowlark, your sweet tooth will be satiated.

Renee joined Oregon Natural Desert Association (ONDA) in 2015 to further develop the Oregon Desert Trail. She is responsible for establishing the 750-mile Oregon Desert Trail, shaping its future, and inspiring others to get out and explore the high desert as much as possible. In addition, Renee leads ONDA's independent stewardship program and is working to educate and inspire others to experience our desert landscapes responsibly.
