There’s no way around it. The world has more manuscripts than publishing slots, and acquisition editors are often so bleary-eyed from reading poorly written submissions that they may not twig to the gold in others, simply because the writing doesn’t shine. If you really want to get published, mind your words. Make sure they’re impeccable. Make sure they shine. “Mind Your Words” offers numerous tips to help you look at your manuscript in a whole new way and polish the gold inside.
Deborah Froese first began plotting novels while falling asleep as a young child. Sleep didn’t come easily, but plot curves did! That preoccupation eventually led to a career as a writer and editor. Currently, Deborah works as the part-time executive editor for Indigo River Publishing, an indie publisher based in Florida. She continues to serve a number of freelance editing clients and works on her own writing projects from her home in Winnipeg, Canada.
