FILM OVERVIEW In Marvel Studios' Black Panther, a superhero known as Black Panther defends Wakanda, a technologically advanced country in Africa that has hidden itself away from the rest of the world. Now, he must face a dissident who wants to sell the country's natural resources to fund an uprising. SHORT DISCUSSION TO FRAME THE FILM Led by Joel Clements. Joel has an M.A in modernist and post-colonial literature, and teaches here in Bend. He has taught modernist courses for Bend-LaPine schools, COCC, and OSU-Cascades.
