Created for parents, caregivers, and those who work with or on behalf of children, this 2-hour training provides education and insight on the ages and stages of a child’s development, examining each through a social, physical, and developmental lens. The training also provides guidance on how to talk to children about their bodies. You will learn about neurotypical childhood and adolescent development and determine what is considered problematic or inappropriate behavior in children and youth. Participants will go through scenarios to gain hands-on experience on how to handle certain behaviors, situations, or questions that a child may have with the appropriate response while remaining calm. The training is ideal for participants with or who work with children and youth ages 0-17 years old.
