Library: Downtown Bend Public LibraryThis is a live webinar. Receive the Zoom link by registering using the button above. Space is limited. Let’s practice how to address expressions of bias, whether implicit or explicit, through role-playing real-world scenarios. We will build our skills for “calling in,” rather than “calling out,” while building and deepening the relationships we care about. We recommend that you may get more out of this Community Conversation by taking, ahead of time, one of the Implicit Association Tests on https://implicit.harvard.edu/implicit/takeatest.html and by reading this article by Loretta Ross: https://www.learningforjustice.org/magazine/spring-2019/speaking-up-without-tearing-down We offer Community Conversation events for community members of all backgrounds to share stories and discuss issues that matter. There's an open feeling of trust and a bubbling up of ideas that break down the silos that are dividing communities across the country. The goal of Community Conversations is to expand our sense of neighborhood - across all economic, political, cultural, and racial boundaries. We believe in the power of connections and friendships to bridge any divides. All of our conversations stem from a strong commitment to curiosity, compassion, and community. *cr* *zm* Registration Ends: 1/21/2022 at 12:00 AM Contact: Liz Goodrich Contact Number: 541-312-1032 Presenter: Community Conversations Status: Closed |
