Seed Swap and Book Talk at Redmond SCP Hotel

Event Type: Adult Program
Age Group(s): Adult
Date: 4/28/2022
Start Time: 6:00 PM
End Time: 8:00 PM
Description:
Trade seeds, plant greens, and tell stories as we celebrate The Seed Keeper by Diane Wilson in the beautiful SCP Hotel's event space.

From books to seeds, wonderful and delicious things come in small packages. Stop into the SCP Hotel between 6:00-8:00 p.m. to swap seeds, learn about the 2022 A Novel Idea title, The Seed Keeper by Diane Wilson, and pick up a microgreen growing kit. These kits contain basic information related to the art and science of growing microgreens indoors, as well as radish seeds, soil and compostable growing containers. Microgreens are the perfect introduction to farming your own zesty treats...and great for adding flavor to salads and sandwiches.

Do you have a surplus of seeds to share? Are you looking to branch out into growing new crops? Be sure to bring seeds and seeds packets to trade and share with your Central Oregon neighbors.
