WHAT TO EXPECT:
All body types, belief systems, and experience levels welcome.

Please bring a Yoga mat/ Pillow/ Blanket to maximize your comfort during class. Attendees will be laying down or sitting in a chair.

The class begins with a brief explanation of the healing attributes of the gong and other sound therapy instruments. We open the space with a mantra and then use light movement and breathwork to prepare the body for the flow of energy to create a receptive experience for deep relaxation. Participants will then get comfortable by lying down (preferred) or in another comfortable position for 30-45 minutes to receive the multiple sounds, vibrations, and other resonant tones and frequencies. As we build the sound and intensity of the Gongs, we allow the sounds to naturally decay, creating build and release cycles which are deeply therapeutic.

As Kevin explains, "This is called a bath as every cell in the body is "bathed" in vibration, allowing us to "release," very much like a physical massage, stored physical and emotional tension. The participant only needs to relax into letting go and the gongs do the rest of the work. While the experience requires very little effort, the results are profound.

A Gong bath is a very personal and unique experience. Gongs speak to each of us differently, on many different levels of our physical, energetic, emotional, mental and spiritual bodies. It is a time of deep relaxation and expansion, where transformation and healing can occur."

KEVIN KRAFT BIO:
Kevin is the owner and founder of Soundshala (www.soundshala.com), a unique mindfulness curriculum combining music, breath, movement and meditation to help achieve the mindful benefits of a sound yoga practice. This is evident in the soundscape of voice, gongs, flutes, crystal and Tibetan bowls, drums and other instruments that can help us relax and release deeply into balance.

Kevin Kraft found his way into the world of yoga by healing a severe back injury in 2004. Yoga did what so many other modalities could not and within a short period of time the injury healed. From the physical practice, Kevin became enamored by the many paths of yoga and personal awareness development. Kevin's practice is focused on consciously accessing the inner teacher and fully coming into the resonance that all healing is accessible within.
